Help - where are the page options buttons gone ?

Help - where are the page options buttons gone ?

I wanted to parent this page to the start:start page…

Edit: I can see on the admin:css page the parent button is under display:none….
but I am not good enough to change it to the needed status..

Question: what was/is the reason to hide the page options buttons?

'Tools' | 'Set Parent' ... still usable ;-)

Hello Helmut,

Lost Buttons …

'Somebody' must have been fiddling with the CSS … layout.
;-)
The outline of the buttons also changed from yellow to white.
I have gotten used to the yellow by now they stand out better.

I quite like the QUIZ idea !!

As I want to start my courses next year these should come in handy.
I will have to learn how to do more stuff in an automated fashion, using forms and CSS and Templates … but somehow I always seem to just lack the extra time needed to learn new tricks !

No-one was "fiddling with the CSS" as you put it. I corrected the error you previously reported and changed the buttons to the standard ones used on the community site.

I can see the page options buttons. Where are they missing? Oh, right, I used a version that omitted some of the buttons. I'll change it now.

Peter, learning to use live templates and dataforms will open up a whole new world of Wikidot functionality to you and will be time well-spent. They are not that difficult and hugely powerful. I use them all the time for creating site-wide content management systems. Have a look at the documentation for dataforms at http://www.wikidot.com/doc:data-forms.

Hello Rob, thanks for the tip.
Yes, I once used a CSS on my website and when the main design was changed after a few weeks everything looked different and was shifted, text size, and colours, so I had to look for another suitable format, as I did not have enough time to scratch around in the setups of the CSS. Just wanted to get my website's functionality back, a.s.a.p.

I once used a CSS on my website

All elements of the CSS on any Wikidot site can be changed and therefore you have complete total control over how your site looks. So as well as dataforms and live templates, learning CSS is a good idea if you don't want to stick with the default themes or the ones on the themes site.

If you have any questions about CSS, dataforms, live templates or anything Wikidot related you can always ask questions on the community forum (http://community.wikidot.com/forum:start) where you'll get a quick and friendly response from the admins and gurus.
